A place where I find it easy to study is a quiet corner of my local public library. It is on the second floor, near a large window, and I usually go there when I need to concentrate on difficult work.

I normally visit the library once or twice a week, especially before exams or when I have an assignment to finish. I usually study English, read course material or prepare presentations there. Sometimes I go alone, but occasionally a friend studies at another table nearby.

One study session there was particularly productive. I had to prepare for an English test and had several reading passages to review. At home, I had been checking my phone too often, so I went to the library in the morning. The desk had plenty of natural light, and the area was almost completely free from distractions. I put my phone in my bag, worked for about ninety minutes and then took a short break. By lunchtime, I had completed much more than I expected.

I like studying there because the peaceful atmosphere helps me focus without feeling isolated. It is quiet, comfortable and designed for learning. For me, a good study place does not need to be fancy; it simply needs to make concentration easier.

Something I would like to learn in the future is basic photography. I already take many pictures with my phone, but I would like to understand how to create better images rather than simply pointing the camera and pressing a button.

I am especially interested in composition, lighting and landscape photography. I would probably sign up for a short beginner course, either at a local centre or online. I would prefer lessons that include simple explanations and practical tasks rather than too much technical theory.

My plan would be to learn one skill at a time. First, I would practise framing a subject and using natural light. Then I would go outdoors at weekends and take photos in parks, streets or scenic places. After each session, I would compare the pictures and try to understand why some looked stronger than others. I would also learn basic editing, but I would not want to change the images too heavily. If possible, I would ask someone experienced to give me feedback because that could shorten the learning curve.

I think photography is easy to begin but difficult to master. Although modern cameras do a lot automatically, creating a strong image still requires practice and attention. That challenge is one reason I want to learn it.

A subject I studied at school that I found very interesting was history. I became especially interested in it during secondary school, when our lessons started to focus less on dates and more on why events happened.

At that time, I was probably in Grade 8 or 9. Our teacher covered both Vietnamese and world history. Instead of asking us to memorise every detail, he often explained cause and effect and asked us to compare different periods. That made the subject feel more connected and meaningful.

One lesson that I still remember was about a major historical event. The teacher brought in photographs, short written accounts and a simple map. Some of these were primary sources, which made the topic feel much more real. We worked in groups and discussed what different people at the time might have experienced. Then each group shared one idea with the class. The activity helped bring the past to life because we were not just reading a textbook; we were trying to understand the people and choices behind the event.

I thought history was fascinating because it helped me understand how societies change. It also broadened my perspective by showing that important events usually have many causes rather than one simple explanation.

Something I do regularly that helps me work and study better is taking a short walk. It is a very simple habit, but I find it surprisingly useful when I have been sitting and concentrating for a long time.

I usually take this walk after lunch or in the late afternoon. It normally lasts about fifteen to twenty minutes, and I do not try to exercise intensely. I simply walk around my neighbourhood or a nearby park, usually without checking my phone too much.

When I have several tasks to finish, I sometimes reach a point where I keep reading the same sentence without understanding it. In that situation, forcing myself to continue is not very productive. A short break gives me a mental reset. The movement, fresh air and change of scenery help clear my mind. When I return to my desk, I can usually stay focused for longer and work more efficiently. I also find it easier to decide which task should come next instead of feeling that everything is equally urgent.

I feel calmer after the walk, and that is probably why it works so well for me. It does not require equipment or much time, so it is easy to keep as part of my routine.

A skill I learned in childhood was how to tie my shoelaces. It sounds very basic now, but when I was about five or six, it felt like a difficult task and an important step toward becoming more independent.

My father taught me the skill before I started primary school. He said it would be useful because I would not always have an adult nearby to help. At first, he demonstrated the process slowly using one of my shoes and showed me how to make the loops and pull them tight.

I did not master the skill immediately. I kept making one loop too loose, so the knot came undone after a few steps. My father stayed patient and made me practise repeatedly instead of doing it for me. He also used a simple rhyme to help me remember the order. One morning, I managed to tie both shoes correctly before we left home. I remember showing him proudly and then checking the knots several times during the day. After that, I became much faster.

I think it was important because it developed a small but useful fine motor skill and gave me confidence in doing everyday tasks alone. The skill itself is simple, but learning it taught me that repetition is often the key to becoming independent.
