The subject I like most is biology. I first studied it seriously in secondary school, and it quickly became my favourite because it helped me understand how living organisms function.

At school, we learned about plants, animals, the human body and basic environmental systems. I especially enjoyed lessons that connected textbook ideas with real-world examples. Our teacher often used pictures, simple diagrams and short demonstrations, so the subject felt less abstract than some other sciences.

One lesson I remember involved examining plant leaves and discussing how they make food. We first reviewed the basic process, and then the teacher let us carry out a small experiment using leaves that had been kept in different conditions. My group had to observe the results and explain what had changed. I did not understand everything immediately, but the practical task helped me connect the theory with something I could actually see. That lesson really sparked my curiosity and made me want to read more about plants and ecosystems.

Biology is my favourite because it explains things that exist all around us. I like understanding a process rather than only memorising facts, and biology gives many chances to do that.

Something useful I learned from another person was basic sewing. My grandmother taught me how to sew on a button and repair a small tear when I was in secondary school.

It happened during a school holiday when I was staying at her house. One of my shirts had lost a button, and I was going to leave it for someone else to fix. My grandmother said it was a useful household skill and offered to show me the ropes instead.

She first showed me how to thread a needle, tie a small knot and hold the fabric safely. Then she demonstrated the stitching slowly. My first attempt was messy because I pulled the thread too tightly and made the cloth wrinkle. She laughed gently, removed a few stitches and asked me to try again. After two or three attempts, I managed to sew the button on firmly. Later that week, I practised by hand on an old piece of fabric and learned how to close a small tear.

It was not extremely difficult, but it required patience and careful hands. I am glad I learned it because I can now fix simple clothing problems myself instead of immediately throwing something away or asking for help.

A family visit I really enjoyed was a weekend I spent at my aunt's house in Da Lat. She lives there with my uncle and two cousins, and I had not seen them for several months.

I went there during a short holiday because my family wanted to catch up with them. Their house is in a quiet residential area a little outside the city centre. We decided to stay over for one night, so the visit felt more relaxed than a quick afternoon trip.

When we arrived, my aunt had prepared a home-cooked meal with several dishes I liked. After lunch, my cousins took me to a nearby coffee farm, and we walked around for about an hour. In the evening, everyone sat in the living room, drank tea and talked. My uncle told a few funny family stories from when my mother and aunt were young, and we looked at some old photographs. Nobody was in a hurry, and the whole house had a warm atmosphere.

I enjoyed the visit because it gave us real time together rather than just a short conversation. My aunt is very welcoming, so I always feel at home there. The simple food, stories and relaxed evening made the visit memorable.

The room I like best in my apartment is my bedroom. It is at the back of the apartment, away from the main road, so it is usually the quietest room in the home.

I use it for sleeping, reading and sometimes studying. The room is not large, but it has a big window that brings in plenty of natural light. There is a bed, a work desk, a small wardrobe and a reading corner with one comfortable chair. I try to keep things tidy because too much clutter makes the room feel smaller.

The part I use most is the desk near the window. In the morning, I sometimes sit there with coffee and plan my day. In the evening, I may study for an hour and then move to the reading corner to unwind. I recently added a small plant and a warm desk lamp, which made the room feel more comfortable without changing it very much. Because the room is quiet, I can concentrate there more easily than in the living room.

I like this room best because it feels like my personal space. It is simple, practical and calm. I can work there when I need focus and relax there when I want privacy.

A piece of furniture I use a lot at home is a simple wooden desk in my bedroom. I bought it about three years ago when I needed a proper place to study and work on a laptop.

I bought it from a local furniture shop after comparing several models online. I chose this one because it was not too expensive and it fit the space beside my window. The shop delivered it in a flat box, and I assembled it with help from my brother.

The desk has a solid surface that is wide enough for my laptop, notebook and a small lamp. It also has two storage drawers where I keep chargers, pens and documents. I make good use of it almost every day. I study there, answer emails, plan lessons and sometimes eat a quick snack while working. Before I had the desk, I often used the dining table, which meant I had to move my things whenever my family wanted to eat. Having a dedicated work surface made my routine much easier.

I like this piece of furniture because it is simple but genuinely useful. It helps keep my work organised, and because it fits the space well, the room still feels open and comfortable.
